Q: What if I don’t have much previous acting experience or I’m new to acting?
A:
Previous acting experience is less important than innate talent, a strong determination to learn effective acting skills, and a willingness to do the required homework.

Q: When are classes scheduled and what is the cost?
A:
Classes are scheduled weekdays, Monday through Friday, at 11:00am, 1:00pm, or 3:00pm. The cost is $50 per class. A payment of $300 (cash or check) is due at the first of each six-class series.

Q: Are Saturday or Sunday classes available?
A:
No.

Q: What is involved in the initial appointment?
A:
A personal interview and either a cold-reading audition or prepared monologue audition with Stan. There is no charge for the initial interview.

Q: How do I make an appointment for the initial interview?
A:
Call 323.930.1050.

Q: How long will the initial interview appointment take?
A:
About an hour.

Q: Is the interview/audition a guarantee of admission?
A:
No.

Q: How long do the classes usually last?
A:
Two hours.

Q: Will I always work with the same partner?
A:
No. Partners are re-arranged when appropriate at Stan's discretion.

Q: Will I be working with other teachers who act as surrogates for Mr. Roth?
A:
No. Stan Roth teaches all classes.

Q: Are individual (one-person) classes available?
A:
Yes, in some cases. The cost is $60 per class ($360 for six classes).

Q: Is there any obligation to continue classes after each six-week series of classes?
A:
No, there is no obligation. You may enroll for each subsequent series of six classes at your discretion. (Please give at least one week’s notice if you decide not to continue).

Q: Can I re-schedule a class time because of an audition, illness, or other reason?
A:
Yes. Classes can be re-scheduled within the same week of the originally scheduled class, according to your partner’s and Stan’s availability.

Q: What if I miss a class and can’t re-schedule within the same week?
A:
You will be charged for the missed class, whatever the reason.

Q: What if I just don’t show up for a class and I don’t call Stan or my partner prior to the class to cancel or re-schedule?
A:
You're done. No refunds.

Q: What if I take a break after a six-week series of classes and want to return at a later time?
A:
You may resume taking classes when there is an opening and an available partner for you to work with.

Q: Does Stan provide guidance regarding how to get an agent or pursue acting work?
A:
Yes.

Q: Is street parking available?
A:
Free parking is always available on the street in front of the studio or on adjacent side streets.
